Commissions
- All prices are in USD
- Prices are a general guideline; subject to change depending on the commission, add-ons, and other factors.
- Prices currently listed are rather low compared to how much time and effort I put in, however, I price myself on the lower side to be accommodating, hopefully make customers feel like it's a good value and garner more forgiveness for potentially long waits and/or mistakes - I currently do this as a hobby, but please don't be surprised if I need to change these prices the next time I open commissions.

Includes simple shading and simple/gradient/blurred-image background.
+$8 for backgrounds that have to be drawn, detailed shading, and extra environmental shading and lighting

example (1) is complex with multiple views ~$20, (2) is simple ~$5
Sketch page
$ - "Pay what you want"
This is commission type is based on me having artistic freedom. I will doodle a page of whatever ideas come to me and I stop when I feel I've created about as much as what you've paid for.
example (1) would be valued at about $4 (single headshot) and example (2) at $15 (several little headshots and other doodles related to your character)
Notes
Will draw:
- anthros/furries
- feral-type characters or creatures
- most if not any species
- most clothing, especially with reference
- light mech/robotics (prosthetics, animatronic limbs, Protogens, Synths)
- most accessories
Won't draw:
- humans/human-faced character
- detailed backgrounds
- NSFW
- political, hateful, or anything I don't feel comfortable with
- characters generated by AI and not redrawn and transformed in some meaningful way
Experience Note
At my current level of experience there are certain things I still may not be comfortable drawing and/or may not be able to draw well such as foreshortening, certain poses, or uncommon or odd angles/views. If you have something specific in mind please ask about it during the initial proposal for your commission, otherwise you may have to settle for a compromise/ my best attempt at what you wanted.
Style note
I won't copy other artist's styles or one's drastically different from my own, however my own style can vary a lot - feel free to point out particular styles in pieces of mine you really like the style of.
Commissioning
I will need
- a visual reference (unless you are commissioning a "custom" or "custom base") which you may send/dm me or link me a website hosting the reference, i.e. Toyhou.se.
- a way to send you the finished art work. Preferably a method that allows the full quality to be received. Email is the default method.
- (optional) a personality description or bio may be helpful for commissions with "artistic freedom" such as the sketch page (may not be necessary if you linked a Toyhou.se)
- (optional) you may also provide stock images, general references, or anything else you think may help get an idea across more easily, such as poses, level of complexity, composition, and so on. You may even include links to my own work pointing out particular styles, finishes, or levels of complexity you are wanting. (I'd hate to draw a character too toony, scary, cute, etc, just because that's the first impression I got from them)
My Process
proposition/idea ⊳ quote ⊳ confirmation ⊳ payment ⊳ WIPs/back and forth ⊳ sending final version(s)
- You may contact me through the DMs of any site I use, especially those I've advertised commission openings on. I will first want to know the general idea and layout of what you would like to make sure that I can deliver it!
- Once everything has been clarified I can confirm whether I can go through with the your commission and I can give you a price. My quotes should be exactly what you pay unless the commission is changed later (e.g. adding views to a ref if I agree or requesting large overhauls in the drawing past the sketch and line art phase)
- I generally require payment upfront or after the first "proof of concept" due to risk of scamming. If there are special circumstances we can discuss "half before and half after" payments.
- I currently take payment through Cashap, Ko-fi, and PayPal. I have a Stripe account as well and may consider digital gift cards if they are for something I'd use and can verify they are good before moving on.
- WIP pictures will usually be given between each stage in the drawing process and after requested alterations - though you can ask to be given more WIPs. The exception to this is with things like the sketch page commission type.
- The amount of changes allowed at each stage and their size is up to my discretion. I will likely refrain from making any large changes in the later stages of the art work that would add significant amounts of time or effort (assuming it is not because of a mistake on my part like forgetting something on a reference or agreed upon earlier).
- I will always provide an unwatermarked version of the final product and can provide a watermarked version. I am also happy to provide alternate versions such as a transparent background version or versions with/without filters upon request.
Terms of Service
I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.Refunds: You may receive a refund if I am unable to start your commission or if you ask for a refund before I have started your commission. Partial refunds may be given on a case by case basis.Crediting: Commissioned art is still art that needs to be credited to me. Reposts and public sharing of my art needs to clearly credit me as the creator, typically by including (1) my handle and what site I'm on or (2) a link to my profile in the description or pinned comment of the post.
◇ If I have designed a character I do not have to be credited every time they appear in a piece of art, but credit should remain in references and wherever designer info is typically required or asked (artist field when uploading images to toyhou.se, reposting reference online, etc).Personal & Commercial Use: You are free to use your art or custom character for personal use (such as sharing on social media, use as a profile picture, or making prints for personal viewing/decoration). Art that is for commercial use (such as redistribution of prints, reselling adopt bases, etc) is a different type of product with different usage rights and will need to be discussed and priced accordingly. ◇ The exception to this being the sale of (1) custom bases that you have filled with color and designed yourself, and (2) a custom character that is being sold in it's entirety from one person to another.
◇ Exceptions can typically be made upon request for commercially related projects that are transformative / not a direct resale of my work - examples: character art featured in a Youtube video or art adorning an album you producedWhat I can/won't do with your art: I will not resale your personally commissioned art or character as prints, t-shirts, or anything of the sort. However, I do retain rights as the artist such as being able to post any of the art I make on social media and using it for the purposes of marketing or advertising myself/my commissions.
◇ If you commission a "custom" character design on a pre-existing "base" that is not yours/not made for you, you should be aware I may use that base to make other customs or resale the lines. This does not apply to off-base customs I have been commissioned by you to make or any unique linework specifically of your characters.Alterations: Most alterations are fine within reason. ◇ I ask that major alterations be clearly indicated on the art itself where posted or otherwise uploaded. Major changes include things such as drawing over a custom design to give them clothes or accessories, compiling/collaging character art into one image, or putting backgrounds behind character art.Other: The following are courtesies I ask of commissioners
◇ Please do not create NFTs with my work
◇ Please do not use my work for mass/corporate AI training or related projects
Character Designs T.O.S.
You can do whatever you like with the character generally speaking, but let me clarify below
◇ I do retain artistic rights to the original artwork specifically and I may use the original art for self promotion, posting, etc.
◇ You get all character rights to the design.
◇ You may use the character design in things like merch, prints, costumes, video games, etc, excluding the artwork itself.
◇ You may redesign as much as you want - in cases where the design has been drastically overhauled and you do not believe the design looks anything like my work, we may discuss where credit can be removed, separating the designs on Toyhou.se, etc
◇ You may draw over my original artwork so long as clear credit is maintained (e.g. adding notes in the art or in the image description pointing out what edits you are responsible for)
◇ DO NOT claim the design as your own - even if you've done some redesigning some credit would still be mine - my credit may only be voided with my very explicit permission.
There are no hard rules for selling, trading, or regifting - I have no interest in maintaining some sort of design blacklist or trying to police designs after they've left my hands - there's nothing I can legally enforce after selling a property anyways.
◇ That being said, I would appreciate it if you did not commission designs solely to turn a profit:
please keep them for a couple of weeks before trading or selling (excluding buying to gift to someone :)
please do not sell for more than what you bought them for without adding art or other value
